On the Beach with this week's challenge at Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog

This week at Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog our wonderful sponsor is Dazzling Ace Designs!!!! Of course it's always Anything Goes but this week with an optional twist - on the beach!!!!!

When I saw the images from which to chose from, I was immediately drawn to a picture of my mother and grandmother in their bathing suits at the beach which then became my inspiration:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • Recollection brown card stock for size A2 card with DCWV The Linen Stack as the background
  • image is pre-colored with chalk around the edges
  • wanted a vintage photo album feel thus the need for the corners attached to image which were cut using built-in Essentials to Cricut E-2 using black Recollection cardstock
  • silver high heel charm from Miriam's Crafting Supplies
  • sentiment, "The best thing about the Good Old Days . . . We weren't good, and we weren't old" had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC was chalked around the edges with and mounted on scraps

  • seashells both on the front and on bottom of sentiment are Darice Stickerz

The Stamping Chef All Boy's Challenge

The Stamping Chef has a new challenge for the next two (2) weeks called "All Boy". You don't have to use an image from The Stamping Chef, but if you do, your entry qualifies as a double chance to win!!! The winner selected will win 3 digis of their choice, BUT, there is a TOP 3!!! Why don't you add your project to the linky for a chance to win. Its pretty easy peasy don't you think??? Check out the Design Team projects for inspiration including my project below:

For my project, I decided to go with "Little Indian", which has since been retired. I thought he was a cutie and with my warped sense of humor, I added the hand-written sentiment - "HOW old?"

Now, for the recipe:
  • card was cut using purple Recollections paper at 5.5  x 11 inches and then scored at 5.5-inches using Martha Stewart Score Board
  • Little Indian was colored using my Spectrum Noir Markers with hi-lights using my Gelly Pens
  • Teepee was cut using Cricut Paper Dolls Cartridge
  • Grass was cut using Cricut Plantin Schoolbook
  • sentiment label was cut with a built-in cartridge from my E2
  • Rick Rack was added to the teepee
God Bless and Thank you for stopping by today!!! Please take a moment to sign up for The Stamping Chef blog emails and at least try one of the her freebies she is currently offering!!!! You can also find her on Facebook!!!

Much Love, Hugs, and Friendship
