Congratulations Wendy and Shawn

My beautiful niece, Wendy got married on Saturday. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and she was a stunning bride! I made their wedding card to replicate their wedding invitation:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • 5x7 inch card with DCWV Harvest Stack and Recollections cardstock
  • image is their engagement picture which I framed using Darice Embossing Folder Die Cut
  • faux stitching around all the layers
  • lace was a great find at a local Dollar Tree
  • sentiments are from Create with TLC  which were cut and chalked around the edges

Here is the original wedding invitation:

I believe I did a fairly good job replicating the invitation. Now, to share with you the beautiful bride with her handsome groom:

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.

Thinking of You Rosie with a New Challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge Blog

It's a new month which means a new challenge with Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge where it's always anything goes as long as you use a patterned paper!!!

My dear friend, Rosie, has had extensive surgery and has been in a nursing home for the past month. We normally do a great many things together including going to Healthtrax for the Aqua Arthritis Class - WELL, I made this card for the girls to sign to let her know she is in our thoughts and prayers:

    RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • size A2 card with DCWV La Creme Stack for the background
    • image is from Create with TLC which was colored with Prisma Markers and Colored Pencils with gel pen accents and of course Stickles and fussy cut around the edges
    • front sentiment was hand-written with white gel pen
    • flowers were made using Fiskars Burst Punch with pearl centers - ya think I might have gotten a bit carried away with the flowers??
    • sentiments is also from Create with TLC which was cut with rounded corners and chalked around the edges

I love these images from Create with TLC as they are soft images slightly accented and with a few soft colors - viola, you have the front of the card! Also, this sentiment is one of many Create with TLC's religious sentiments.

I can't wait to see what you create this month for Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge Blog!!!!

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.

    Much love, hugs, and friendship
