I Can Smell Autumn!!!!!

I Love FALL!!!!! I love the smell of Autumn, the leaves swirling all over, walking through the leaves and hearing the crunch of the leaves, going to a pumpkin patch and picking out my pumpkin to make pies and then smell the wonderful scent of the pies while baking!!!!! Create with TLC's wonderful images, "I Can Smell Autumn" Poem Word Art Vintage Image Transferdescribes EXACTLY how I feel!!!!   This is one of the newest sets at Create with TLC and it makes a quick and easy card and all I needed was embellishing with buttons from my stash no less with ribbon and a bow along with a few tulle fall leaves that someway had given to me- how easy is that??? AND I made three (3) cards on Wednesday just using that simple recipe with the being the second one I'm sharing today with the final card on Saturday as my Design Team Project for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog with as always, ANYTHING GOES!

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card is a size A card with rust-colored Recollection card stock
  • background is a gorgeous piece with acorns
  • Create with TLC "I Can Smell Autumn" Poem Word Art Vintage Image Transfer corners were rounded and chalked around the edges
  • buttons from JHB Buttons and pumpkin buttons from my wonderful stash - you ask just how many buttons I have - WELL, I have at least 8 tins of buttons not to mention a basket along with a jug with my great grandmother's!!!!!!
  • sentiment, "APPLE CIDER PUMPKIN PIE Autumn's Here My Oh My" had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC which was given rounded corners and chalked around the edges and placed on a scrap from the cover background
  • added Darice Fall Satin ribbon on the one side and then tied another piece of that ribbon into a bow on top of my card
How was that for a quick and elegant card for Autumn - don't forget to start making your fall and Autumn cards as the first day of fall is September 23rd!!!

Suzy B's Blooming Challenge Blog Challenge #46 - Anything Goes with Blooms

This week at Suzy B's Blooming Challenge Blog our wonderful sponsor is Sparkle N Sprinkle. Of course it's Anything Goes but this week with a twist - with blooms!!!!!

For my Design Team project, I chose Old Friends. This reminded me of my pal and partner in crime, Rosie! We have said that we're going to have to share a room in an old folk's home but to make sure there is room for our crafting supplies! When we get together, we have a great time just laughing and sharing stories of how our week has gone. Also, the joke is that she is shorter than I am and when we worked at JoAnn Fabrics together, I used to tease her that it would only take 2 yards to make a skirt for her because she was short! P.S. she always loves to wear a red hat in the winter also . . . .

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • DCWV The Crafty Stack is the base for my card and was cut 6 x 12 inches
  • backgrounds are from my stash with the polka dot ones with rounded corners
  • Old Friends was colored with Whispers Strokes with gel accents and chalked around the rounded edges
  • flower were cut using Cricut Plantin Cartridge, page 76 at .75 inches with white Recollection cardstock and then chalked around the edges
  • Queen and Co. pearls were added to the centers of my flowers in various shades
  • sentiment, "If you have CRAZY FRIENDS you have everything", had been a freebie at Create with TLC and was chalked around the rounded edges - now, how purrrfect is that for a sentiment???
  • Martha Stewart Vine punch was used with DCWV The Girly Stack for the vine and then split apart to make a border frame
I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. Don't forget to showcase your project on Susy B's Blooming Challenge Blog this week to enter in the Challenge!!! It's anything goes with no size restrictions with the only restriction of that being your imagination . . . . let your imagination run wild!!!! I can't wait to see your creations!
