Angel Shake Up For Challenge at 2 Creative Chicks

It's a new challenge at 2 Creative Chicks? It's always anything goes with whatever medium you wish to display. The only limitation is your imagination!

I was part of Chic Critique's current swap which is a Shaker Card! My Swap Buddy loves Angels and I decided to use a previous freebie from Treasure Box Designs, Angel:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • Recollections Pink Cardstock size 4 x 6 card with scraps for background
  • border is embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls and then free-style cut to create a cloud and of course you know I had to add Stickles
  • image was cut using scraps and the heart became the receptacle of the "shaker" with confetti doves to shake it up
  • of course, I had to add blush and eyelashes along with that white dot in her eyes
  • angel wings were embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls with Stickles outlining the embossing
  • angel was puff-dotted on the front of card to continue the dimension
  • sentiment, "Faith makes things possible not easy", had been a previous sentiment from Create with TLC where I chalked around the edges, used the Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch on either side and used as a "slider" to slide organza ribbon through and mounted on matching cloud scraps with a border of coordinating paper punched with Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch

Cozy Holiday Wishes with a New Challenge at Get Creative

First, I would like to let you know that I have had to step-down from all of my Design Team Posts as my eye issues have gotten worse. I have Ocular Myasthenia Gravis and I was in the ER last weekend due to issues and the pressure and pain are still there. It has been hard to do my projects, remark on posts even with having increased my font size to 150 percent but it still hurts to read and craft. It was with a heavy heart I needed to make the decision to step down at this time.

With that being said, here is my last and final post for Get Creative and I want to welcome to the new challenge at Get Creative!!! This is a Challenge Blog with this week's challenge theme - fantasy with the fabulous sponsor Nikki Burnette.

I fell in love with her mermaid stamp, Edeline and the whole time as I was coloring her and I couldn't decide what she should be card-wise. But after a consultation with the Stickles Fairy and a beautiful coordinating piece of paper from my stash, yes, you guessed it - she became a Christmas card!!!!

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card measures 5.5 x 7 inches using Recollections cardstock
  • background is from my stash
  • Edeline is colored with Copic R20, Prisma Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils, Whisper Markers, gel pen accents and of course Stickles
  • fussy cut part of my image and chalked a background on the remainder
  • sentiment, "Sending Cozy Holiday Wishes your way " had been from Create with TLC  Winter Club 2015 was chalked around the edges
  • lace beading trim from my stash with Darice satin edged organza ribbon and bow
  • sentiment, "The Magic of Christmas never ends and it's greatest of gifts are family and friends" had been from Create with TLC  Winter Club 2015 was chalked around the edges and mounted on scraps matching the front of card

I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. Don't forget to showcase your project on Get Creative Challenges and enter in the Challenge!!!!! I can't wait to see your creations!

I appreciate and love reading your comments . . is your comment the next one I read???

Celebrate Life Midway Reminder for Quirky Crafts Challenge

It's not too late to enter your project at  Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog. I'm here with my midway project as a gentle reminder that the theme is "Celebrate" where you need to have the word "Celebrate" somewhere on you card or project.

With this all being said, I can't wait to show you my DT project with this cute little bear cross-stitching. Ok, those who know me really well, know that I want to break out in song with Kool and the Gang but first let me share with you my card!!!

For my project, I chose to use Digi Blessings at Stitchy Bear Sewing Mends the Soul. With my love of the "needle-arts" this became the purrfect image for me to use for my card.

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card measures 5.5 x 7 inches with Recollections card stock and scraps for background
  • white scraps added as a border using Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch
  • image was colored using Copic R20, Prisma Colored Pencils, Whispers Markers,  and gel pen accents
  • ribbon is from my stash which was wrapped around the background and then tied into a bow
  • word "Celebrate" was faux stitched on the little sampler the bear is doing
  • sentiment, "Happy Birthday! Congratulations on being born" had been from Create with TLC chalked around the edges
  • "Made for You" silver heart charm is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies
  • heart buttons on the side are from my stash of buttons
  • Queen & Co. pearls were used for the pin heads
  • cupcake paper with EK cupcake border punch was used on the inside of my card with of course Stickles accents
  • sentiment, "If you lick the FROSTING off a cupcake, it becomes a MUFFIN And muffins are healthy! Celebrate today with a cupcake!" had been from Create with TLC was chalked around the edges, Stickle dots in the corners and mounted on a dark pink

I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. Don't forget to visit and enter your project at Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog I can't wait to see your creations!

. . . and you just knew that I had to post this - ready, set, sing and follow the bouncing cupcakes:
