Another Page of Kristin's Scrapbook!

Hello my friends…. Kristin’s graduation party is Saturday and thus I’m working my fingers to the bone trying to finish her scrapbook!!

My niece has made a “promise” to God of “celibacy” and wears a ring to symbolize this. I had never heard of this before I’m ashamed to say, but upon hearing this, I’m very very proud of her especially with how today’s society is!

With this being said, I have made another page for her scrapbook symbolizing this with Little Scraps of Heaven’s Promise Kid, http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_212/I-am-a-Promise-Girl.htm

Claire Chenoy Spielman is My Wonderful Wednesday Guest Designer

I am ever sew fortunate to have Claire as my Guest Designer for today. Now, bear in mind, that Claire has not been feeling well and I truly am honored and blessed for her posting today!!! Also, please please please, take the time to read her story as it is truly an inspiration!

All American
I'm delighted to once again be featured as a Guest Designer for my sweet blogger friend Lynne. I decided since this was an important assignment, I wanted to create a page that was important to me as well.
I was born in Canada and only up until the last election, did I have the opportunity to VOTE in the election since I applied for my United States Citizenship and became American after approximately 35 years in Florida.
I studied page after page of American history and passed the famous test so that I could get my US passport and do what I always wanted to do in this country.........
V O T E !!
For most of you reading this, it's no big deal, but as an adult citizen, it was something I always wanted to do! Beside, it was something else I could check off my Bucket List!!
So, here is the 2 page lay out I created to celebrate my US citizenship. I used paper and embellishments from Quick Quotes and the paper is called Just Jackson. Simply Charmed was the cart I used to cut out the "All American". The corners were punched using a MS corner punch...I love that punch!

HUGE  THANKS to my sweet blogger  friend Lynne, for asking me to be a Guest Designer today....what an honor!
LOVE being able to work with Lynne and her
talented , artistic, fun, caring and supportive  group each month....it keeps this ALL American girl CREATIVE!

Thank you ever sew much for being my Guest Designer for today Claire . I am truly impressed with not only your creativity but of your story!!

God Bless and thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to stop and give Claire some bloggie love and get well wishes!!!

Welcome to the second but not last Mickey and Friends Blog Hop Day 2, June 12th, 2012.

This hop is scheduled from June 11 at 9:00 am through June 12 at 11:00 pm.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies.  There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 2 day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back both days to see great projects.

Here is the complete lineup:

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa Designs and she will be the first stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop. You also must become a follower of Lisa’s blog and Design Team blog at http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/and all blogs in this hop.  The grand prize for the blog hop is $20 in free files over at http://scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/.

You should have followed the mouse’s path by coming from Evila.

My project is two (2) more pages of a graduation lay-out for my niece, Kristin, who just graduated from high-school. Now, comes the challenge making a lay-out for a graduation using Mickey and friends.. Kristin is a “Make-a-Wish” recipient that had the wish for a Disney cruise and my sister had been employed at a Disney store …. Now, this truly a Disney family!!!

First, I would love to introduce you to my niece Kristin, 2012 Graduate of South Park High School

This is the first of my two (2) lay-outs for you today. Minnie is cut at 6.25-inches using the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge.

The year is cut using Tear Drop Cricut Cartridge.

The mortarboard hat is cut using Everyday Paper Dolls with a pearl bling for the tassel.

Don't you just love the star photo mat which is Designs on Cloud 9 Photo Mat Fun

The total finished project for first page -

Now, for the second page:

Now, I have to tell you that I was inspired and "scraplifted" with permission from Lucy Kelleher but made it into a motarboard with the ears!

Kristin's name is cut using Tear Drop Cricut Cartridge

Pat Catan's has the local schools both names and logo's in their crafting paper - saw it and I knew I just had to have it!!

Again, I used the Designs on Cloud 9 Photo Mat Fun for Kristin's pictures
