My project for your enjoyment is a card which I made for my first granddaughter - I used Creative Kuts Waiting Patiently Girl. Now, what may seem strange is my background paper is from DCWV Immortal Love with the red pinstripe but it just looked sew festive! The holly border is a Martha Stewart punch. Now I had a scrap of the light bulb paper and with a little bit of Glossy Accents it gives the bulbs a little sparkle and dimension! I always add a little bit of texture and shading with my Prisma pencils to my paper piecings and find it also gives some dimension. For my final bit of bling and dimension is I put 2 black rhinestones for the buttons on the back of the sleeper and 2 silver pearls for the curtain rod ends. For the little girl, I'm calling her Lily, I put puff dots to make it look like she's trying to pull herself up further to see Santa.
Now, the verse that I put on the inside of my card is something that I feel with the holiday season - "The magic of Christmas as seen in the eyes of a child. May you find that magic this holiday season". I used the Martha Stewart corner ivy punch for just the one corner and shaded the holly leaves with 3 tiny baby little rhinestones for the berries.
Thank you ever sew much for stopping and hopping by - your next stop on the hop is Scrapping Bug Designs Blog!
God Bless
Hugs and Love
Lynne
