I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose, July 1, 2012

Happy Sunday my friends - if you are here for 2nd Annual Love of Pink Blog Hop to celebrate Gill McCall's birthday please click here but I would love you to take a moment to check out my I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose for July 1, 2012

This is what I did with Sketch #14 for July 1, 2012:

This was such a fun card to make, I got the back ground paper is The Heirloom Stack DCWV.  It was the purrfect backdrop for one of Daisy’s printables, Vintage Children 2 (http://www.zibbet.com/tsunamirose/artwork?artworkId=900825). I used a Little Scraps of Heaven Lacey Rectangle Mat. Now is where the fun came in as I went digging in my button stash where I found the purrfect blue button. I added a musical note brad to the circle to complete the theme. I just love this card as it reminds me of a happier time growing up with my grandparents!

I encourage you all to visit and check out her sketches by joining her challenge by visiting her Facebook group! You can also visit her on I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose by becoming a follower.
Please make sure you check out my Design Team sisters' cards as well and see how they meet Daisy's Sketch Challenge!.

2nd Annual for the Love of Pink

Welcome to the 2nd Annual For the Love of Pink to celebrate Gill McCall’s birthday!!!!

For this project I made a card and brace yourself – I made a card basically “PINK” and we all know how much I love the color pink!!!!

If you just happened to visit me today, I really appreciate it but would love for you to start at the beginning of our hop at Gill's blog. If you came from Barbara then you are following the right shade of pink!

This is my very very first easel card and I was totally surprised how easy it was --- ok, I did glue one piece on the wrong side, but all is well in the world!!! LOL

RECIPE:
  • To make my easel card I used a tutorial on Splitcoasters, with step-by-step directions including scoring …. how easy is that
  • My adorable dolly on the front is Bella and is a Treasure Box Button Beauties cutting file
  • Yellow and Pink paper from Recollection Stack
  • Bling and buttons are from my “collection” and “stash”
  • Lacey Labels Cricut Cartridge label cut at 2-inches
  • Black and white gel pens to add dimension
  • Clear stamper "Girls just want to have fun"; now how purrfect is that?

Hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to wish Gill a very very happy birthday!!!

Your next stop along the birthday pink stop is Tory!

God Bless and thank you for stopping by

My Rendition

I liked this sketch because of the vintage look with not only the lace but the ribbon. I really enjoyed using the Vintage Printable Mason Jar Printables because.of the canning jars and remembering Gram at the stove canning. The lace was received from a good friend, Edwina Brown which is actually cut on the Cricut with paper! Thank you Edwina, my dear friend. . .
