Ghosts and Goblins Spooks Galore - - - Scary monsters on my blog!!!!

Ok, I must admit, I'm in my witchy mode again today with another of Create with TLC's wonderful images, Spooktacular Halloween Vintage Image Transfer and Word Art Setand this is for Halloween!  This is one of the newest sets at Create with TLC WHICH if you had joined the October Club it was for free but now is listed in her store and sold separately. I love not only this image but the sentiment as it is purrrfect to send to one of my grandsons that are a bit older and not as "cutsie" (ok, that was a technical term!!! LOL!!!).

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card is a size A card with a black Recollection card stock
  • DCWV The Spooky Time Stack is the background
  • Create with TLC Pumpkin Head Trick or Treater Vintage was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils and Spectrum Noir Makers with gel pen accents and fussy cut around the edges
  • sentiment was given rounded corners and chalked around the edges
  • added Halloween ribbon on the one side and then tied another piece of that ribbon into a bow
  • button is from a jar of buttons, Le Bouton Buttons, that my adorable granddaughter, Sasha, had given to me for Mother's Day since I love love love buttons and this jar is nothing but shades of orange in different sizes!!
  • with the finishing touch, yep you guessed it, my little pumpkin head trick or treater was put onto a wobble-
Halloween is one of my favorite holidaze as I can play "dress-up" without creating issues!!!! I'm thinking of making nothing but Halloween cards and sending them to my friends in October and not making Christmas cards this year!!!

Two Variations of a Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are always the hardest for me to make - I never know if I'm doing the right words, sentiments, coloring for male versus female. With this even being September 11th, and a sad time in the United States' history as well - it is a solemn day.

With this being said, my boyfriend's ex-mother-in-law passed and a good friend of mine from quilting's husband passed which meant not only 1 card but two - here is where I went to Create with TLC and used In Sympathy Vintage Collage Birds which is the perfect go-to for sympathy cards whether it be for male or female with just adding a few additional touches . . . .

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card is a size A card with a purple Recollection card stock for the one card and blue Recollection card stock for the other
  • DCWV The Girlhood Stack is the background which worked for both cards with the blue, lilac, and the butterflies
  • Create with TLC In Sympathy Vintage Collage Birds was just chalked around the edges with lightly coloring with Prisma Colored Pencils
  • butterfly is puff-dotted on and from K&Co.
  • inside sentiment was found via a google search and printed out with my computer with wording changed to fit either mother or husband and chalked around the edges accordingly:

God Bless American and my deepest sympathies, love, and prayers for my country. Thank you for stopping by to visit today. I appreciate and love reading your comments . . is your comment the next one I read???

The Skeletons are out tonight . . .

One of the newest sets at Create with TLC is The Skeletons Are Out Tonight Word Art which if you have joined the October Club it was for free but now is listed in her store. I love this word art as it is purrrfect to send to one of my grandsons that are a bit older and not as "cutsie" (ok, that was a technical term!!! LOL!!!). I saw a particular challenge for this week and thought that this was the purrfect card to enter into this challenge as it is black/white and one additional color which mine is the purple.

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card is a size A card with a purple Recollection card stock
  • DCWV The Spooky Time Stack is the background
  • Create with TLC The Skeletons Are Out Tonight Word Art was just chalked around the edges
  • added purple 1/2-inch Darice Satin ribbon on the one side and in a bow
  • button is from a jar of buttons, Le Bouton Buttons, that my adorable granddaughter, Sasha, had given to me for Mother's Day since I love love love buttons and this jar is nothing but shades of purple in different sizes!!
Since I'm in that wobble mode, I'm thinking of adding dimension by adding a wobble and cutting out another hand for my skeleton - what do you think???
