Tea Time with Gram

How bout another Urban Threads embroidery machine along with a quilted project - a mug mat to hold your cup of coffee/tea while crafting!!!! This is a super quick easy project to make not only for yourself but also as a gift!!!

RECIPE:
  • back of mug mat and batting was cut to 6 x 8 inches
  • teapot square was cut to 4.5 x 4.5 inches
  • bottom piece was cut to 4 x 4.5 inches
  • side panel was cut 2 x 8 inches
  • pieces are assembled before the embroidery is done
  •  Quilting Teapot finished size measures 4-inches and was made using my Brother Embroidery machine in a 4-inch hoop using Sulky Embroidery Thread which was quilted into the mug mat with the batting as my stabilizer
  • diagonal quilting is done on the pieces other than the tea pot along with stitch-in-the ditch for the piecing areas
  • binding is added to finish my mug mat
Today would have been my grandmother's birthday. Gram had raised me and what I wouldn't do to sit and have another cup of tea with her. Happy Birthday Gram - thank you for watching over me.

I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. I appreciate and love reading your comments . . is your comment the next one I read???
