It's a Fancy Fold Challenge at Crafty Gals with Fabulous Sponsors

Welcome to Crafty Gals Corner's challenge this week with the theme being fancy folds along with fabulous sponsors!!

We have two (2) fabulous sponsors this week:
The Stamping Boutique
(2 digital images or 3 if using The Stamping Boutique)
Sami's Stamps ($12 Gift Card)

I chose to make two (2) cards this week using:

The Stamping Boutique Picnic Basket
my fancy fold is a twisted easel card:

and
Sami's Stamps Flower Bath
using Double Z Fold Card

Picnic Basket RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • Background piece is cut as follows: 4.25 x 9.75 inches and then scored at 5.5 inches which then is folded in half making a triangle. The paper is Recollections turquoise cardstock
  • cut another piece of the background paper 4.25 x 5.5 inches which get glued on the triangle piece
  • background is paper I had received from a friend which 2 pieces were cut 4 x 5.25 inches
  • Picnic Basket was colored with Prisma Colored Pencils, Tim Holtz Markers with gel pen accents which was fussy cut around the edges and puff-dotted onto my card
  • ribbon is blue gingham which gives my card that homespun feeling and tied into a bow
  • sentiment, "Its the little things that mean so much", had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC, chalked around the edges and mounted on scrap of base of card
  • flowers were cut using Cricut Plantin Cartridges and chalked around the edges with Queen & Co. gold pearls and placed around the sentiment

    Flower Bath RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • followed the directions for my Double Z Fold card found here
    • card was cut using turquoise Recollection cardstock with background paper given to me by a friend
    • Flower Bath was colored using Whisper Strokes, Prisma Colored Pencils, and Spectrum Noir Markers with gel pen and Stickles accents for fairy wings and bubbles, rounded corners and chalked around the edges
    • sentiment, "A BATH a day keeps the blues at bay" had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC was cut using 2.25 round punch, chalked around the edges and mounted on  scraps from the front and placed on lace doily using Little Scraps of Heaven Lace Circle which was mounted onto a belly band to hold my card shut

    3. Lovely twisted easel card - this style takes a bit of craft and cunning, and you seemed to have accomplished both. Thank you for sharing with us at Love To Scrap.
