The Scrapbook Blessings Ombre' Technique Challenge for the Month of February

It's a new month which means a new challenge a the Scrapbook Blessings Club!!!!! This month, the challenge is being sponsored by MelJen's Designs with the theme being a technique - "Ombre'"!!!!

Alright, I have to confide in your - this challenge intimidated me!!!!!! OMBRE????? Well, after some research, I found some great information on Pinterest and ran with embossing folder in hand along with dabber and chalk and viola:

    RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • pink Recollection cardstock cut size A2 card with white Recollection cardstock which was embossed using Cuttlebug Swirl Embossing folder
    • ombre effect was accomplished by using a dabber and chalk with going over the embossed area creating a darker image and then going lighter further down
    • MelJen's Sweet Chocolate Bar was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils, Whisper Stroke Markers and then fussy cut around the edges
    • Stickles are on the silver part of the candy wrapper
    • Queen & Co Pearl in center of the flower on the wrapper of the candy bar
    • ribbon is from my stash
    • sentiment, "Good Friends area like gourmet chocolates . . . it's what's inside that makes them special" is from Create with TLC "Special" Vintage Image and Word Art Set which was chalked around the edges to coordinate with the "ombre" effect
    •  Jolee's heart sticker embellishment to finish front of the card
    • Create with TLC February Club had this adorable sentiment which is on the inside of my card, "Happy Valentine's Day to my friend" which was chalked around the edges and faux stitched, mounted on scraps with scrap ribbon and Darice Conversation Heart Stickers
