Quilted Pocket Mug Rug

I love making these Mug Rugs as they are made entirely in the hoop of my Embroidery Machine (her name is Thelma on good days!!!) including the machine quilting!!!

Today's Mug Rug has a pocket where I place tea bags for the tea drinker but I'm thinking I nice piece of chocolate would be better!!! The original pattern can be found at Anne's Embroidery and is called Mug Rug with Pocket and Quilting

As you can see, I can combine a variety of fabrics making each one unique and an individual!!!!

I love these as they are a little bigger than a coaster and smaller than a placemat and purrfect to place a glass of wine, cup of tea or coffee along with a snack such as a cookie, brownie, or piece of chocolate and are completely washable!!! They can be mailed using just a standard stamp in a 5x7 envelope!!!!

This includes a top layer of fabric and the bottom fabric, stabilizer, and a layer of batting - better yet, I can do special orders or these are made completely using scraps!!! I originally made a few Microwave Bowl Cozies and the scraps became these Mug Rugs - great combination gift!!!

These were a big hit at my last craft show and hoping they will be also on June 17th in Jamestown, PA.

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.

If the TUTU Fits - Twirl Twirl Twirl with a New Challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

Can you believe how fast this year is going - it's already June 1st and with that - It's a new month which means a new challenge with Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge where it's always anything goes as long as you use a patterned paper!!!

A dear friend of mine had gone to Florida for the winter and when she came back, not only was it her birthday; but she had pneumonia - what a way to come back to Pittsburgh. Thus, I decided to send her a belated birthday card, a get-well card combo with the thought of our water aerobic class on a Wobble no less all in one with the purrfect sentiment from Create with TLC:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • size A2 card with scraps for background
  • image was colored with Prisma Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils, and gel pen accents
  • of course, the Stickles Fairy had to come and add her accent to the tutu - (tutu cute!!!)
  • fussy cut image out and attached with an Action Wobble
  • flowers were mad using Fiskars Burst Punch with pearl centers
  • sentiment from Create with TLC was cut using Darice Embossing Die Cut and chalked around the edges

NOW, isn't the purrfect card???? I can't wait to see what you create this month for Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge Blog!!!!

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.
