NOW, its on with the show with Scooter and Kermit being the EMCEE . . . just don't pay attention to the hecklers up there in the private box - they just too opinionated and OLD!!!
My favorite Muppet character is ANIMAL!!!! I chose to color a jpg which was originally a coloring book page. I used my Prisma colored pencils and had a blast coloring and shading my character. Animal also has some Stickles and Studio Glitter in his fur!
I decided he looked best placed on black paper and used the prism hologram paper for the lettering on the front using the built-in Alphabet from my E2 of my card. NOTE: when using this type of paper it has an adhesive on the back which makes life wonderful to attach but when cutting with the Cricut, use the vinyl setting which is a kiss cut. Without cutting it this way using your Cricut, it shreds the paper - I learned this from experience!!
I loved putting Animal in the center busting out of his drum with the word "surprise" on the front of my card! BTW did you know that Animal's nickname was "skirt chaser". The things you learn when surfing the web!!!
The inside of my card is a pop-up card with another coloring book page picture of Animal with his chains! Did you know that you can do a search on the internet and find coloring book pages such as these to color as digi art for your cards or layouts??
This pop-up card is very simple - my card is cut at 6-inches x 4.5 inches. On the side you want the pop-up you make a 1/2-inch cut on either side of the center - I usually have a center of 1-inch.
Now, after you have made the cut, you want to fold that little 1-inch piece to make a little block - this block is where you attach what you want to pop-up when your card is opened. This is scrap paper that I made the fold that I can refer back to it - just don't pay attention to the note on the other side!!! <LOL>
When you open my card - Animal pops up to say "u bring out the in me" with a heart for a Valentine's Day card!
Your final hop along the vaudeville trail is Erin of Comfy on My Cloud - be sure to stop over and check out her fantastic card!!! I'm sew glad you stopped to visit and hope you enjoyed the show and weren't one of the hecklers!!! Don't forget to let us know your favorite Muppet character to be eligible for the blog candy!!!!
God Bless you

Lynne, Animal looks great and I like how he is used in the sentiment! All along this hop I keep thinking that Grover is my favorite Muppet but he wasn't in the Muppets was he? Just a character on Sesame Street. Anyway, you have done a fine job here!!:)

This is AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing the tutorial on pop-ups! I love how you used animal on the front AND on the inside. You can never have too much Animal, right? :) I'm a Kermit girl myself, but my son thinks Animal is fabulous, so I may have to lift this card idea from you. :)
