This is my card for you today -

The papers I used are:

  • I cut my card a 6 x 6-inches and used one of the free papers that are included in the July Sketches and can be found at Daisy's Zibbet shop:

The other element I used is from Daisy's Thursday Freebies

I like Tsunami Rose Printables because they give my cards a vintage look and provide me with a great variety of different looks with not only her scrapbook paper but tags, pennants, and other unique items.
  •  The ribbon used for the pennants is from JoAnn Fabrics in their paper crafting section that has fusible on the one side.
  • Pearls and flowers were added for bling
  • A pink tulle bow finishes off my card

Melts in Your Mouth but Not in Your Hands Blog Hop

Welcome to Melts in Your Mouth but Not in Your Hands Blog Hop for not one but two beautiful ladies who are beautiful inside and out but have the love and joy of crafting. We are celebrating their birthday with a wonderful candy that is not only beautiful inside but outside and both sides are delicious!!!! What a better treat than to use M&M's for birthday wishes!!!! And, they are both turning 50, but shhhh don't spread the rumor as who would ever believe you after looking at their pictures!

We have a super wonderful group of crafters to help wish not only Kimberly Pate but Rachelle Larsen a super very happy Birthday. Our hop begins with Kimberly Pate at http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com in case you just happened to stop at my blog to visit me. Don't get me wrong, but since there is such a delicious hop, I wouldn't want you to miss a single stop along the way!!!!! If you have arrived from Rachelle then you are following the empty bags of M&M's.

For my projects today, yes - I said projects, I have made two (2) cards!!! The first card is for Kimberly, aka Princess Sparkles, who absolutely loves loves loves M&M's almost as much as crafting!

  • My card was cut a 7 x 6 - inches using the plaid for DCWV's Flower Shower Stack
  • The adorable little candy critters are from Treasure Box Designs Candy Pals which were cut at approximately 3-inches and inked around the edges to hi-light the features
  • The first sentiment, is "Celebrate!" which green candy pal is holding
  • The "50" was cut using Make the Cut
  • Peanut Candy Pal and Blue are in the inside of the card . . .
  • Happy Birthday my dear friend Kimberly
For my second card, I made something totally outta character for me for Rachelle. Rachelle loves butterflies, the color pink and very feminine all of which I am not!!! LOL - giving you fair warning, brace yourself:

  • Cricut Cartridge Elegant Edges was used for the butterfly border which was cut from white Recollections cardstock cut at 6-inches
  • Cricut Cartridge Heritage was used for the antique hat which was cut at 3.5-inches
  • Butterfly is a K&Co. glitter pop-up
  • Pink tulle was tied into a frothy bow on the hat
  • Pink and White flowers were added to the hat to give that vintage "Easter bonnet" look
  • White pearls were added to the hat stand, center of tulle bow, and the accent circles on the butterfly border
  • Card was cut at 6-inches using DCWV Linen Stack
  • Pink Background was cut at 5.75-inches using Recollections Fashionably Chic
See, I warned you, pearls, tulle, pearls, pink, pearls, and flowers OH MY!! LOL

Also, I thought I would give you a heads-up that Rhonda of Blue Crayons is also celebrating a birthday today which we were not aware when organizing this hop ... when you are visiting Rhonda, wish her a very happy happy birthday ...

Your next stop along the way is Lisa Peters. I have included the complete line-up just in case you would happen to get lost along the way or at too many M&M's.

There is a wonderful group of sponsors to help us with the celebration but as with everything else, there are rules and regulations which will be noted with each sponsor.

After a long afternoon of crafting, deadline rushes for orders and posts, what would be better than a prize package from SimplySilverton-a soap and paperworks company?  This prize pack will include 2-4oz. handmade luxury soap and and a pound of bath salt soak.  To be eligible, please show your blog love to our participants by leaving comments and following their blogs, and also visiting and liking their page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/SimplySilverton-a-soap-and-paperworks-company-llc/218576901486847.
