Gemma Gerbera from Lacy Sunshine is in the Pink!!!!

My dear friend, Vicky Fortier, threw the gauntlet down and challenged me to create a card with the color pink!!!! WELL, I'm not a "pink" person - I'm jewel tones, not pastels . . . . this was truly a challenge for me but here goes: My daughters, Jen and Jean, both love pink, my granddaughter, Lily, loves pink and then there's me and I don't even wear the color pink, oh wait, my undergarments at time are pink  . . .

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • DCWV Carnival Stack was cut for a size A2 card as my card
  • background is from stash
  • vine is cut using Martha Stewart Punch with Queen & Co. Pink Pearls
  • Lacy Sunshine, Gemma Gerbera, was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, Whisper Strokes Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils and gel pen accents, rounded corners and chalked around the edges
  • center of the flowers are Queen & Co. Black Pearls in Gemma Gerbera's hair
  • sentiment, "Just saying Hello", had previously been a freebie from Create with TLC which was chalked around the edges with rounded corners and mounted on a scraps from the front of my card to be used as a "Thinking of You" card
  • flowers were cut using white cardstock using Cricut Plantin Cartridge and then chalked for color with Queen & Co. Black Pearls
  • black/pink checked ribbon was found in my stash and thought it would make the purrfect finishing touches
Tah Dah!!!! I actually created a pastel card using the color pink!!!! Thanks for challenging me Vicky Fortier and hope you like my card!!!

Just a funny little story about a little black kitty - I guess she has pink issues also! Chloe is infatuated with this card as she keeps trying to run with it. The bow is missing along with 2 of the flowers!!!! Everyone is a critic!!!! LOL!

Thank you for stopping by to visit today. I appreciate and love reading your comments . . is your comment the next one I read???

Much love, hugs, and friendship
