Kung Fu Panda Wishing You a Happy Birthday Cardz 4 Guyz

WOOOO HOOOO!!! I had previously entered a lay-out and card that I had made for Crafty Girls Design Team Project for January 21st in Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge Blog and have been given the honor of being February's Guest Designer!!!! The theme this week is "Oriental". Here is my third card which was an actual challenge for me but once I got a game plan it all fell together:

Recipe:

• Recollection cardstock base of Cricut Pagoda Cartridge using bamboo card base with check behind showcasing the bamboo cut at 5.25 inches
• Panda Bear cut at 2.25 inches using Cricut Pagoda Cartridge using scraps
• sentiment, "Happy Birthday Banner", had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC and is chalked around the edges 
• another Panda Bear inside by sentiment along on the opposite side using the negative of the bamboo

How's that for a great card for the guy in your life that was super easy once I got a game plan in place!!!!

I'm one of the newest Design Team Members of Creative Fingers where it's always Anything Goes!!!!! This week's sponsor is Scrapper's Delights. I go the privilege to work with Genie 1 and of course, the new song going through my head is the theme song to I Dream of Jeannie!!!! 

Sew, let's rub the lamp 

and watch my genie "pop" up in my pop-up birthday card when opened:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:

• card was cut as a 6 x 6 inch card both inside and outside using DCWV Royal Garden
• inside card has two - one inch cut; one each for either side of the center - this creates the little box for my genie to sit on where I cut the puff of smoke separate from her body and placed it on either side of the little pop-up
• Genie, lamp, and puffs of smoke were colored with  Spectrum Noir Markers, Whisper Strokes Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils with gel pen accents; fussy cut around the edges then chalked around the edges 
• flower front is my optional round twist which was also from DCWV Royal Stack where I printed with Micron Pen "rub the lamp and make a wish"
• sentiments, "May your day bring a little touch of magic", and "Happy Birthday to You", were previous freebies from Create with TLC; rounded corners and chalked around the edges and mounted on scraps
• Want to Scrap - Say it With Baby Bling are the "jewels" for her earrings, blouse, and beaded head piece
• Queen & Co Pearls were added to the lamp 
• lamp and front sentiment were puff-dotted onto my card front

Happy 9th Birthday Sasha!!!!

Can you believe it - Sasha is now 9 years old!!!!! She's grown up sew fast this past year!!!!! This card is for her -

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:

• DCWV The Countdown Stack was used for both the inside and outside of the box card
• I followed the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers along with watching the video but now, I'm psyched and made one for Nick's 8th birthday which you will see later this week!!!
• Create with TLC "Happy Birthday to You Banner" sentiment, had been a previous freebie, was colored, rounded the corners and then chalked around the edges
• the number "9" was cut using Cricut American Alphabet which is built into my Cricut Expression 2 machine and chalked around the edges
• Disney Winnie the Pooh and Friends Cricut Cartridge has an adorable balloon on a string which was cut with scraps and chalked around the edges with white gel accent
• Cricut Rock Princess Cartridge cute little skull with a bow along with the cupcake which was cut with scraps and chalked around the edges
• the cupcake has rhinestone accents from Miriam's Crafting Supplies, Skittles for the frosting along with white gel pen accent
