Scratch-Off Valentine Card

Well, boys and girls, during a search on the internet, I found a kewl way to make a Valentine for my special Valentine - a "scratch" off card!!!!!!!

Recipe:
  • found the idea and template here which is only available by invite now but through various searches I found a few other places to get the template such as here - here is what I used:
  • once you decide on a template or card, you need to put what you are "offering" as your gift for your loved one or kids to scratch off in blue ink
  • once you write your gifts onto your hearts, grab that white crayon that is in your crayon box that is rarely ever ever used and color over your writing until covered
  • here is where you grab some acrylic paint where you dab the paint over the white crayon until completely colored and filled in -
  • now, put  your scratch off ticket in an envelope with a card - I also gave a "lucky" quarter to be used for the scratch off and let the recipient scratch off to see what their prize is - well, Bob scratched them all off!!!
How's that for a unique gift for that special someone in your life!!!!

New Challenge Time at Crafting From The Heart with Two Fabulous Sponsors!!!!!

Crafting From the Heart has a new challenge!!!!!!! The fabulous sponsors for this challenge:

I decided for my Design Team Project, I would make a project using an image from each of our sponsors!

First is a valentine card using Art by Miran Bubbly Betty:

    RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • turquoise Recollection size A2 card with vellum embossed with dots which reminded me of bubbles as my background
    • Bubbly Betty was colored with Whisper Strokes, Spectrum Noir and Prisma Markers with gel pens accents, corners rounded and chalked around the edges
    • Stickles added to the bubbles and some of the dot embossing
    • sentiment, "I believe in Bubbles they carry your cares away", had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC  which was cut "round" using my 2.5 inch round punch and chalked around the edges to carry out my "bubble" theme
for my second project, I chose Just Inklined Dirty Dancing. When I first saw this image, I couldn't quit giggling for a couple of reasons, first is I watch Dancing with the Stars and I had visions of Mark or Derek trying to lift me for one of the dances and the judges holding their paddles!!!!! No, your eyes are blurred like my vision - I put them on an Action Wobble because he is really struggling!!!! And second, one of my very most favorite movies is Dirty Dancing and Patrick Swayze never looked like he had any issues doing lifts!!!

    RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • peach Recollection cardstock cut into a size A2 card and Graphic 45 Dancing background - don't you just love the dancing - just as if it were a dancing marathon or competition??
    • Dirty Dancing was colored with Prisma Colored Pencils, Whisper Strokes and Spectrum Noir Markers with gel pen accents
    • Stickles was added to her dress and shoes because it is a dance competition after all!!!
    • sentiment, "you'll get there - KEEP Going" (seemed like the purrfect sentiment for the poor guy holding onto her!) had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC  which was chalked around the edges
    • my dancers were put on an Action Wobble just to add some movement
Are you inspired???? I can't wait to see your projects and just how easy is it considering the challenge is Anything GOES!!!!! Have fun and create!!!

It's a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create with the theme being Birthday!!!!!!! Now, how wonderfully easy is that because I know if you're anything like me, you're always creating a birthday card!!!

    There are two fabulous sponsors:

for my project, I chose to use Flat Friends Yellow Brick Road. Sew, let's head off to the "Merry Old Land of Oz" and follow that Yellow Brick Road but avoid the poppy fields and the Wicked Witch is flying close to Emerald City and Belinda upsets me with just not telling Dorothy in the beginning all she had to do is click her ruby red slippers 3 times saying "there's no place like home!!!"

as an cascade story board card

    RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
    • cascade card using www.coordinations cardstock which was embossed using the reptile folder - thought it looked like the yellow brick road
    • Flat Friends Yellow Brick road was colored using Whisper Strokes and Spectrum Noir Markers with gel pen accents, Stickles for the ruby red slippers and fussy cut around the edges
    • Emerald City was created using Cricut Create a Critter Cartridge cutting the sandcastle with Stickles to the sparkle
    • my ruby red shoe was cut using you guessed it Cinderella's glass slipper from Cricut Disney Happily Ever After Cartridge and then added Stickles to glitter it up!
    • Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Wicked Witch, and Good Witch were from Little Scraps of Heaven but are no longer available
    • Create with TLC "Happy Birthday to a timeless Classic who will never go out of style" had been a previous freebie which was chalked around the edges and thought it was the purrrfect sentiment for this classic story!!!
