Can you believe Lily is now 4 years old as of today!!!! She's grown sew fast!!!! She like all little girls love Elsa of Frozen and thus grandma made a Queen Elsa card for her 4th birthday:

Recipe:
  • size A2 card cut using aqua Recollection card stock with scrap snowflake paper for background
  • Sassy Studio Designs Snow Queen Sassy colored with Prisma Colored Pencils, fussy cut around the edges with gel pen and Stickles accents and puff-dotted onto card
  • snowflakes cut at 2-inches on white card stock with background light grey using Cricut Winter Lace Cartridge, Stickles accents and puff-dotted onto card with one snow flake added with an Action Wobble
  • "4" cut using aqua Recollection cardstock, puff-dotted onto a snowflake with Stickles accents using Essentials which is built-in onto my E-2
  • ribbon is actually a pull ribbon that makes a full bow
  • sentiment, "SPECIAL that's what you are", had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC with an added sentiment from me which was chalked around the edges

Elsa, the Snow Queen: Crafty Gals New Challenge Blog

Welcome to Crafty Gals Corner first challenge and blog hop to introduce you to the team!!!! We have two (2) fabulous sponsors for our first challenge: Sassy Studio Designs (4 digital images of your choice) and All Dressed Up Stamps (2 digital images of your choice), along with blog candy along the way AND, I'm one of the lucky new Design Team Members!!!!!

For my project, I chose to use Sassy Studio Designs Snow Queen Sassy as Stretch/Cascade Card similar to her ice castle. I like making the cascade/stretch card as it is something I have just learned and it allows a lot of creativity with added extras such as the snowflakes and folds completely flat!!!

I followed the tutorial at My Crafty Life on the Internet to create this card:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • royal blue 12 x 12 card stock
  • background white Recollection cardstock
  • embossed the white paper using Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing folder
  • snowflakes were cut using Cricut Winter Lace Cartridge at 2-inches using aqua Recollection cardstock for the background and white Recollection cardstock on top
  • sentiment, "Learned from Snowflake keep your cool and be unique" was from Create with TLC Snow and Winter Vintage and Word Art Set which was mounted on coordinating cardstock from the snowflake background
  • added a piece of white Recollection cardstock on the back of my card for extra stability as this is going to be for Miss Lily and I wanted this as durable as possible with adding the snowflake embossing also on the back
I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. Don't forget to enter your project(s) at Crafty Gals Corner where it's anything goes this week!!!! I can't wait to see your creations!

Also, as an added incentive there is several blog candy stops along the way including here - I'm offering your choice of either a cross or an angel machine embroidered bookmark!!!!!!

There is a wonderfully talented group of ladies at Crafty Gals Corner and I hope you stop and visit each one and give some bloggy love!
