For my project, I chose to use Faery Ink Alice and Her Cheshire which Samanth Aquilera had purchased for me for my birthday - as we all know I love Alice in Wonderland as my last few blog posts have reflected!!!!! For my card, I decided to do a cascade story board card which is another favorite of mine lately!!!!

  • Alice and Her Cheshire was colored with Whisper Stroke and Spectrum Noir Markers with gel pen accents, was fussy cut around the edges

There's a New Challenge Blog in Town - Are You Ready??????

There's a new challenge blog in town and I'm thrilled to be part of their fabulous Design Team -welcome to Creative Ladybirds Creations first challenge with the theme Anything Goes and with not one but two fabulous sponsors:

Of course for those who know me, I got over zealous and used an image from both sponsors and they're both from Alice in Wonderland - can you imagine that???? LOL!!!!

My first project I wish to share with you today is a page in my journal to help remind me what makes me happy and to smile

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • background paper is in my "stash" and a piece I just had to have and then comes the question - what to do with it . . . purrfect backdrop for my journal page
  • Dottie Alice in Wonderland was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils, Whisper Strokes, Spectrum Noir with gel pen accents and a tiny little pom pom for bunny tail
  • Cheshire Cat was cut using Cricut Disney Classic Cartridge with Stickles for his teeth
  • sentiment, "take time to do what makes your SOUL HAPPY!" had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC
  • "SMILE" is from a package of adorable images from K&Co
For my next project, I decided to use Ikes Art Alice and made a gift tag:

 RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • background paper was from my "stash" and cut two tags using Cricut Plantin Cartridge where one tag was reversed and glued them together to make the tag sturdier and then chalked around the edges
  • Alice was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils, Whisper Strokes and gel pen accents and was mounted on tag with puff-dots
  • sentiment, "A very merry unbirthday to you" had been a previous offer freebie from Create with TLC and lightly colored the cake with colored pencils which was then chalked around the edges and puff-dotted onto the tag
  • ribbon had previously been in a bin from JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts and found its way to my home and was wrapped around the bottom of the tag and then tied into a bow for the top
  • Bakers Twine was attached at the hole to attach tag to either a bag or package
Now, it's your turn to show me your creations at Creative Ladybirds Creations. I can't wait to see what you will create!!!!!

I thank you for stopping by today and hope you take a moment to leave me some bloggie love as I love to read your thoughts and appreciate each and everyone!!!

It's the Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Welcome to The Mad Hatter's Tea Party. If you happen to fall in the rabbit's hole you have landed in the wacky wonderful world of Alice where we're all mad here! The March Hare is scurrying and hoping you won't be late in attending and wishing our hostess a Happy Birthday!!! She does love celebrating  her birthday and what better way than to have a tea party with all of her favorite friends in this Wonderland!!!!

Now, sit back with your cup of tea, relax and enjoy this wonderful line-up:

There are some wonderful sponsors today to help us celebrate:

and he asks that you become a follower.

Treasure Box Designs at http://www.treasureboxdesigns.com/, is offering $15 in free files to one lucky winner by going to the Design Team Blog Page (http://treasureboxdesignteam.blogspot.com/) and following along with following on the FaceBook Fan Page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/TreasureBoxDesigns/169444103106015)

Here's my project which I hope you enjoy as I have made a journal using a notebook from The Dollar Tree where some pages are glued together to make pockets. Journal tags were added to the various characters as I didn't attach them all the way to include the tags.

My cover of my book is "the looking glass" which is from Disney Happily Ever After Cricut Cartridge which is blinged up with gems and the shadow is prism paper to give the illusion of a "looking glass"

First page has "through the looking glass" which I created the lettering with Make the Cut, welded them together and then added a shadow. Paper is Recollections.

I love the Mad Hatter and he is the first character in my journal. He is part of the Treasure Box Designs Wonderland Collection. Instead of being part of a photo mat, I put him in the sugar bowl that the Door Mouse is included in this file. I found all of these wonderful quotes were found at Alice in Wonderland Memorable Quotes and Lenny's Alice in Wonderland Site. The wonderful paper is from DCWV The Heirloom Stack and the paper the Mad Hatter is on is Paper Adventures Paper Heart Dazzle Circles.

Of course, Alice Kingsley is our next page along with the bottle, "Drink Me" which was cut using Cricut Disney Classics Cartridge. Alice's quote that she uses a lot is "Curiouser and Curiouser" which of course, I had to use!!! Background paper is Paper Adventures Paper Heart Dazzle Circles. Paper piecings paper is Recollections.

The Queen of Heart is next to pay a visit with her famous quote, "Off with their heads!" along with a favorite of mine where the queen is asking for a pig for her aching feet. The pig is Treasure Box Designs Hogs and Kisses. The Queen is blinged blinged with jewels from Miriam's Crafting Supplies which has super great selection and super pricing! My background paper is hearts which I got in Target's Dollar bins.

Next are the cards with the background paper with the cards from DCWV The Heirloom Stack and then cutting some of the cards individually, spanning them around my quotes.

The final page that I completed for today is the Cheshire Cat. My cat is on the sign post which I cut from Cricut Disney Classics. The background paper again, is Paper Adventures Paper Heart Dazzle Circles. I will be doing more pages at a later date and of course will share with you.

Of course, there are more characters that are in my thought process that I want to work on and will be adding at a later date AND of course,  I will be sharing with you. I also want to put my cards from my friends last year and this year Mad Hatter will be put in my journal to keep!!! "Off with their heads!!! but not my friends!

Thank you for stopping and enjoying a cup of tea and perhaps crumpets with me! Your next stop along the party hop is Camille and I'm sure you will enjoy your tea as she is very talented or just follow the March Hare and don't be late for a very important date as I'm turning 61! Its my "unbirthday" .....

The March Hare suggested that I give you the line-up again just in case you get lost with the rhyming with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum --- Don't be LATE!!!!! As it is for a very special date!!!!

God Bless you and thanks ever sew much for stopping by today and help me reach 400 followers as we shall P-A-R-T-Y!!!!!
Much love, hugs, and friendship

Alice in Wonderland Blog Lineup:

You are probably wondering if there is going to be a prize for this hop. There is. It will be a Disney animated movie but I will reveal as to which movie it is going to be at a later time. To be eligible for this prize, you have to follow my blog and everyone else's blog that is in this hop. You also must leave me and the other wonderful ladies a comment in order to qualify for the prize. The grand prize will be awarded at the end of this month. You get one entry for each of the 4 blog hops during the series of Walt Disney Animated Movies Blog Hops during each of the Friday's in the month of March. So if you just choose one of the Fridays to attend, you would only get one entry but if you choose to attend all four hops during the month of March, you get a bonus entry since you came to all four hops, then you will receive 4 + 1 entries, which makes your chance of winning the movie go up with each entry.

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting and checking out my project, I now must send you on your merry way but watch out for the queen of hearts as I send you on your way to my wonderful beautiful friend, Princess Sparkles, Kimberly. Mickey and Friends Blog Hop

Day 1: Welcome to the first but not last Disney/Pixar Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from September 29 at 8:00 am through September 30 at 11:00 pm.

If you have come from Shannon's blog, you are on the right track. If not and you just happened to come to this blog, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 2-day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice. Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops. Please come back both days to see great projects.

Here is the complete lineup:

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa and she will be the first and last stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop. You also must become a follower of my blog and of Scrapping With Lisa on facebook.  The grand prize for the blog hop is a nice grab bag full of goodies.  You won't be disappointed in this prize.

My project for today on the hop is the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland --- who doesn't love an infectious smile from a baby or him....

Who wouldn't smile when you open this card . . . was in an Alice mode when Sasha and I made this card of the Cheshire Cat with that big grin of his cut at 4.75 inches using the Cricut Cartridge Disney Classics which was placed with puff dots on the card base of course cut from my very most favorite cartridge - A Child's Year cut at 6-inches. SMILE was cut at 1.50 from the Create a Critter cartridge. A wonderful trick I learned from Canadian Nickel -- she used aluminum foil on a Halloween card that she put through her Cuttlebug. I love the look and used Swirley on the foil and put the word Smile on top!! Thanks Nicole for the idea!

Of course, I had Sasha's help again and she is a big help! We put the ribbon along with the smaller parts through the Xyron which makes life sew much easier to attach just keeping the Xyron right beside the Cricut when cutting my pieces! Added a bow and a little bit of glitz with the rhinestones and SMILE!

Now, the big question is -- who would like a card like this to open
and
would you SMILE?
ok, you guessed it, my Cheshire Cat card is my blog candy to the lucky winner!

Your next stop is Indira.

Have a great day and I look forward to seeing you again.
God Bless
Hugs and Love,
Lynne

We have divided this hop into two (2) days with different blogs for you to visit each day. Make sure to visit all!

Day 1: September 3, 2011

First off, I would like to welcome you to Susan's Anything Goes Birthday Bash and with me being the first stop on the hop! I am Susan's co-host as we were teasing, the hostess with the mostest  .... Now, let's get this party started!

Well, Susan, has become a great friend of mine and since I have been teasing her that since she wants to be a princess when she grows up I just needed to give her the "royal treatment"! She, of course need to have a birthday hat and what better hat, than a royal crown! This pretty little crown was cut from Once Upon a Princes and glittered up with rhinestones and Stickles not to mention it's adjustable for those big hair days.

Now, every princess needs a wand to rule her kingdom or sprinkle fairy dust. This wand was also cut from the Once Upon a Princess at 8-inches.

Now, what birthday party doesn't have cake with candles. Make a wish and blow out the candles! This dimensional cake was cut from Life's a Party which has some fantastic 3-dimensional cuts for all types of parties. I again, used the Stickles and was told once I played with them I wouldn't want anything else --- well, they're right and I have sparkled everything in my dining room!!! When these dimensional center pieces are cut out, they are only one (1) color, sew, I colored the candles with my markers and again play with my stickles! The best part of this cake is that is calorie-free!

Now, on to the presents!!!! (My favorite part of course!) On Love to Crop, Amy had a project that was a box card which I love!!!!. This is my second box card that I have made and am quite pleased with the end results! It would be sew much better with a Score Pad but considering I don't have one in my possession (HINT HINT HINT), I improvised with my quilt rulers, mats, and my paper piecing pressing tool! The belly band has a lacey circle cut from my Essentials which is a built-in cartridge on my E2. Tinkerbell (oops Tink must have had a ward drobe malfunction as heaven forbid she doesn't have  her trademark green dress) cut from Classic Disney (cut at 3-3/4-inches) on the top has left Susan a bit of fairy dust and chocolate --- oops bad Tinkerbell for eating the chocolate!!! One outta two ain't bad!!! Tink has been shaded with my colored pencils and yes, Stickles and I have become great friends as she even has Stickles!!!

Don't forget to stop and wish Susan a very Happy Birthday!!!! Well, hope you enjoyed the start of Susan's party --- now, lets move this party to Amber's blog.

Before you leave though, I do have some candy for you that Tinkerbell hasn't gotten to. There is a Disney Tinkerbell cut at 6-inches that you too can have some pixie dust and love! I just ask that you leave some bloggie love. I sew love to hear what you think!!!

God Bless all and Happy Birthday Susan!
Love and Hugs
Lynne
