Happy New Year both Old and New Friends . . . .

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne?

I have some wonderful friends that I've met through the years and hold still and dear to my heart along with new friends that I have made along the way through crafting. When Create with TLC had the sentiment the other day as its "freebie", I just knew that I would do a first and make "Happy New Year Cards". I made 4 all at the same time and I think they turned out great and will be mailed in the morning.

RECIPE:
  • sentiment, "A New Year with Old Friends" was the "freebie" the other day at Create with TLC. If something looks a tad familiar, its the card I'm sharing with you today as I'm fortunate enuf to be on Create with TLC Design Team!
  • friends on the front of my card are also a Create with TLC digital design called Friend Like You Digi Image and Word Set which reminds me of my one friend - we tease one another about us getting old with helping each other and sharing a room at a nursing home!
  • image was colored with Prisma and Spectrum Noir markers accented with gel pens and Prisma Colored pencils
  • card was cut 8.5 x 5.5 inches, creased with Martha Stewart Score Board using Recollections Card Stock
  • background is DCWV Linen Collection and cut 4 x 5.25 inches
  • 5mm flat-back acrylic pearls and Bronze-tone pocket watch charm are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies
God Bless and thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate and love reading your comments . . is your comment the next one I read???

Much love, hugs, and friendship

I chose December 6th – St. Nicholas’ Day. I didn’t have a chance to finish this project but I want to tell you how special this day is to me and my daughter and now with my daughter and grandchildren - - - - The German children leave their shoes outside your front door with carrots and oats for the reindeer (now, we kept them in plastic bags sew the shoes wouldn’t be a mess in the morning) and Santa to all the good little boys and girls would leave chocolates and candys and the children weren’t good they would be left lumps of coal!!!!!!

December 6th is also Mitten Tree Day and for my card, I chose to use an adorable image by Create with TLC Warm Winter Minter Printable
We thank you for visiting us today!!! We’re wishing you the happiest, most blessed holiday with a happy, healthy prosperous New Year!!!

  • Warm Winter Minter Printable was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, Prism Colored Pencils, and accents with chalks and gel pens
  • paper is recollections winter memories
  • kitties are from my button stash, and yes, they are great for cuddling!!!

December 23rd is Festivius . . don't you remember that day o Seinfeld celebrating??? Here is where we celebrate and tell others where we have done them wrong . . . ..
  • Again, I have used a Create with TLC image using Joy to the World Digi Image and Word Art colored with the various implements: using Distress Ink Vintage Paper, Green Stickles on the tree, Black Glittler Stickles for the children
  • sentiment, "It's beginning a bit like festivus" is also a Create with TLC image, which was cut out on white Recollection cardstock and chalked around the edges
  • the background is super easy - I bought a package of pre-cut cards with envelopes DCWV Winter Collection
Your next stop along the way is with the very beautiful and talented Edwina to strut her stuff!!!
