Happy 70th Birthday Bill

Today is my cousin Bill's 70th Birthday! What kind of card can you possibly make for someone that is 70?? After looking through my cartridges, this is what I came up with - hope you enjoy!

The recipe for this card is the card was cut at 6-inches using A Child's Year cartridge using Mainstreet Stack by DCWV. The ribbon across the front was purchased from JoAnn Fabrics Memories Ki and has an adhesive back which makes life easy! The little buckle was cut at 1-inch using Fabulous Finds using scrap paper. I have had this one cartridge and had a fear of gluing the lettering but since my Xyron and I are now best friends, I got brave. The lettering is using my Teardrop cartridge and to my surprise, this cartridge even has the Happy and Birthday with a balloon attached!!! All the lettering was cut at 2-inches and my wonderful Xyron made attaching sew much easier! The classic car was cut from Heritage at 1-1/2 inches with adding 2 buttons for the wheels which were hot-glued on and a little pearl for the door handle. I shaded the car and the ballons a bit with a green colored pencil with adding just a dot of white to the balloons. The balloons were traced on the same paper as the car since there was no cut for a color on the balloons. The balloons were then attached using dots for dimension!
I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
Hugs and Love,
Lynne
