First Scrapbook Blessing Club Blog Hop and I'm Part of the Design Team!!!!!

Welcome to our first Scrapbook Blessings Blog Hop. Today, we are celebrating an exciting new journey at the Scrapbook Blessing Club! So let the party begin!!!

We are so super thrilled to introduce our new SBC Design Team. At SBC, "we are making crafts and saving memories one technique at a time." We have daily themed posts to bring you lots of fun and creative tips, techniques, and tutorials to use for all your paper crafting projects.

Also, we have a sponsored video tutorial challenge every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, for us to learn fun ideas and for a chance to win great prizes. And we also have our own Facebook group, Scrapbook Blessing Club found HERE.  Our team  will be bringing you great tips, sites to look at and online deals each and every day.

So please take a few minutes and hop along with us, checking out all the talent these ladies are contributing to our Club. You should have hopped over from Theresa but if you are just joining us you can start at the beginning over at Scrapbook Blessings Club.

First off, I want to share the prize that I’m offering are Darice Paper Crafter 10 blank cards and envelopes for you to decorate in soft pastels measuring 4 x 6 inches

For my project, I just love to have cards that move and this card is no exception. I had made a card for my dear friend Rosie’s nephew’s 3rd birthday with whom else but Elmo who not only is Elmo a “wobble” but sew is the number 3!!! Now, how kewl is that for a 3 year old!!!

Recipe:
  • Card was cut 6 x 12 inches  using DCWV The Number Stack for my background which was folded in half with corners on the right side were rounded with a corner punch
  • Elmo was cut using Cricut Elmo's Birthday Cartridge
  • Number 3 was cut using Cricut Mickey Font Cartridge
  • Now onto the fun things – the wobble . . . .
  • You will need – 1 piece of wire 6-inches long curled around a pencil or as shown a Zig pen

  • 2 – 2 inch circles which were cut using Make the Cut on white Recollction cardstock

  • Hot glue gun but no fingers glued please
  • Glue wire to one circle which is then glued to Elmo’s back when cool and set, glue the other side of the wire to the other circle  which are then glued to the card . . . . check it out as Elmo wobbles and moves back ‘n forth

  • Repeat for the number “3” ….

Viola, you have Elmo dancing on a 3-year old birthday card

Up next is Team Designer is the lovely and talented Carolyn.

  3. Lynne - I love the card. My great-grandson just turn 3 and this would be a cute card for him, only using Thomas the Train! And your wobble creation, perfect. Where did you get your wire for it or is it jewelry wiring, b/c this would be great to use instead of locating a source to buy from. Thank you for the inspirational ideas here. Carolyn

    1. I'm not sure of the gauge wire I used . . . it was something I already had in the house. I know jewelry wire is too thin and it was a heavier gauge. Glad you liked my project and can't wait to see your creation!!!
