I chose three (3) dates this month to celebrate with the first being June 13, 2013, as Sewing Machine Day. In a previous life, I was a seamstress which some of you may know. I have quilted, did alterations, along with making wedding gowns, curtains, and priest vestments.

RECIPE for Sewing Machine Card:
  • card was cut 6 x 12 inches and then scored in half using Martha Stewart Score Board using DCWV The Crafty Stack
  • corners were rounded and edged were inked
  • sentiment, "Sewing mends the soul" was a freebie from Create with TLC; corners were rounded, chalked and embossed using Cuttlebug Sewing Borders
  • treadle sewing machine image was a freebie from Free Vintage Digital Stamps; corners were rounded and chalked along with embossed on the one side using Cuttlebug Sewing Borders
June 18, 2013, is Fishing Day. My boyfriend is a bass fisherman and I enjoy going with him. I have tried casting but with my current situation with my broken foot, I haven't done any actual fishing. I do, however, take pictures of his catch!!! On a recent trip to his cabin at Pymatuning which is in Linesville, Pennsylvania, he caught several bass and just needed to make a lay-out to show off his "catch".

RECIPE for Catch of the Day Lay-Out:
  • Live for Fishing from Stamping Station background for 12x12 lay-out
  • Catch of the Day from Treasure Box Designs
  • pieces are from my wonderful stash and scrap collection
  • say "Hello" to my fisherman, Bob
My final card is for Camera Day which is June 28, 2013. I'm always the person behind the camera taking the pictures and this date just had my name written all over it. As the kids call me, I'm the "Crazy Camera Lady"!

RECIPE for Camera Card:
  • card was cut 6 x 12 inches and then scored in half using Martha Stewart Score Board using DCWV Main Street Stack
  • filmstrip was cut at 3.25 inches using Cricut Mickey and Friends Cartridge using black Recollection card stock
  • Bronze-tone Camera Charm is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies and makes a wonderful addition to my card!
  • sentiments, "And then I snapped" and "Have a picture perfect day" were freebies from Create with TLC; corners were rounded and chalked
  • Say Cheese from The Stamping Chef was colored using Spectrum Noir Markers, Prisma Markers with hi-lights using gelly pens
  • the scraps from cutting out my film strip were added along the right side and on my sentiments
  • picture inside is of Bob and I on one of our Sunday day trips
  • "I love you" was hand-written using a Sakura Micron size 3 pen which gives the illusion of calligraphy
