"Bee-Lieve" with a new challenge at Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Blog Challenge with a Twist - Add Spring Flowers

This week at Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog our wonderful sponsor is Deedee's Digi's!!!! Of course it's always Anything Goes but this week with an optional twist - spring flowers!

I'm not a flowery type person but brace yourselves as you see, I can do flowers!!!!! I love violets and forget-me-nots. Forget-me-nots remind me of my dad. Daddy was a mason and he was not only a member of a lodge here in the United States but also Canada. In Canada, his Lodge Brothers would hand out forget-me-not pins - thus it is a very happy memory for me. My card then is a tribute to my dad with Deedee's Digi's Bee-Lieve:




RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • Recollection purple card stock for size A2 card with scraps for the background 
  • image is a pre-colored image
  • Queen & Co. pearls for center of the flowers and flower button
  • lilac gingham cut using Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch
  • yellow lace hem tape tied in a bow
  • butterfly, yellow flower, and bee are all buttons - TIP to remove back shank from buttons: use a toe nail clipper and shank is removed cleanly
  • JoLee daisy stickers
  • Mulberry purple roses
  • sentiment, "A little note to BUG you" had been a previous freebie from Create with TLC was chalked around the edges with matching paper from the front of card

    I am like you and not really a flower person, but I do love to try new things! Your card is beautiful, you should do flowers more :)

    I also wanted to thank you for sharing your story about your father and the forget-me-nots.I love to get to know other crafters.
