As for myself, my boyfriend has a cabin in Pymatuning, PA where we take the boat and go fishing on the lake.

If you have arrived from Lisa Lynn, then you are in the right place - if not, here is the complete list of my Create with TLC teamies and friends:
Lisa Lynn (previous destination)
Lynne (current destination)
Rhonda Sue (your next travel destination)

Patti

The image that is available for you on my blog is Vintage Travel Chicago Sketch. Just right click on the image and save the file for your own personal used

I've never flown nor have I ever been to Chicago but these fun facts I do know:
  • "windy city"
  • the first ferris wheel made it's debut here
  • Lincoln Park Zoo is one of only 3 major zoos that has free admission
  • Wrigley Field
  • is the first free cultural center in the US
  • home to the largest Tiffany glass dome
  • Frank Sinatra introduced "My Kind of Town (Chicago is)"

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • Easel card following the tutorial at Splitcoasters using Recollection Cardstock and travel paper received in a swap
  • image was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils and chalked around the edges with gel pen accents
  • of course the Stickles Fairy had to pay a visit on the word Chicago and the "wind"
  • plane and suitcase were cut using Cricut Heritage Cartridge and puff-dotted onto the background
  • plane has rhinestone gems for the windows and gel pen accents
  • suitcase has a blue background and of course I got a bit crazy when I made a tiny tiny luggage tag

  • Queen and Co. black buttons for her dress along with silver on the sentiment
  • sentiment, "Globetrotting . . . " is the freebie that is being offered from Create with TLC on your destination adventure which was mounted on blue paper was chalked around the edges with the arrows colored using gel pen

Your next stop on our hop is Rhonda Sue

Now, you know that I can't let a reference to a song go unnoticed without having a sing-a-long - just follow ole blue eyes!!!!

Thank you for stopping and visiting today and hope you come back again!!!

  13. Love, Love and more love! I am from the suburbs of Chicago : ) Love all of your embellishments and shimmer! Did you know Windy City is a name given for politics in Chicago, not the weather? It was given to the City due to the persistence of the politicians rallying to have the World's Fair in Chicago back in the day...... LOL Great post- again, Love your card!
