May Your Blessings Outnumber the Shamrocks that Grow

My dear friend, Beth, had asked me to make a special St. Patrick's Day card using this Irish blessing:


RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • card is a size A2 using Reminisce Shenanigans as the background paper
  • I wanted to showcase the blessing and mounted it on white, black and green paper
  • St. Patrick's Day ribbon from stash drawer wrapped around and then tied in a bow
  • shamrock gem from stash
  • sentiment cut using Darice Embossing Die and chalked around the edges mounted on coordinated paper

Spring Rain With a New Brown Sugar Challenge Blog

For my project, I'm using this cute little girl, Spring Rain, with a sentiment from Create with TLC:



RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • size A2 card with scraps for background
  • image was colored with Spectrum Noir and Whisper Stroke Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils, gel pen accents and Darice Glossy Accents for the raindrops and puddle  
  • background was chalked around the image with rounded corners
  • buttons from my button tins - check closely as you will see a little frog under the umbrella button
  • gingham bow was also found in my button tin
  • sentiment from Create with TLC was cut using Darice Embossing Die Cut and chalked around the edges

Chloe With Her Cactus and Canary Coloring Page My Stitch Back in Twine

My Stitch Back in Twine now has coloring books with this image being one of the pages: Chloe with Her Cactus and Canary which I am sharing with you today the card I made using this:



I had a lot of fun coloring this image and with my warped sense of humor and mind all kinds of ideas were running through my head including fur coming out of the canary's mouth!!!

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • size A2 card with Recollections Black/White Stack background 
  • image was colored with chalk and Whisper Strokes Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils with gel pen accents and fussy cut around the edges
  • feather added to Chloe's face - purrrrrfect for fur!
  • Recollections pink flowers with Miriam's Supplies pearls for the center
  • sentiment was cut using Fiskars 2.5 round punch and chalked around the edges had been from a previous Create with TLC Club
  • inside sentiment is framed using Darice Embossing Die cut with another sentiment from another previous Create with TLC Club

This sweet Irish Lass reminded me of a dear friend, Susie, who I met at Healthtrax Aqua Arthritis Class and you guess it; this card went out in the mail for her to wish her a Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

  • flower, I think it is actually a magnolia, was from a swap which has been in my stash forever as I'm not a flowery person but this card it was the purrfect place for the flower!!!

  • card is actually from Pat Catan's with those embossed shamrocks border with Company G green background paper several years back and you know how that is  . .  you know you have it but when the time comes you never can find it - I was lucky this year and found it both the blank cards and the paper!!!
  • image was colored with Spectrum Noir and Whisper Strokes Markers with gel pen accents and fussy cut around the edges
  • Stickles Fairy added her touch on teddy's pom pom
  • sentiment from Create with TLC previous club was cut using Darice Embossing Folder Die Cut and chalked around the edges
