A True Lady is Only Helpless while her nail polish is wet . . .

Sami's Stamps has this beautiful image - Wild Flower Beauty. She was such a fun image to color and I wanted and hoped to give her the beauty and justice she deserved. Originally she was to be my Design Team Project for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Blog Challenge but time wasn't on my side along with the challenge for the week was with an optional twist of a wedding card - wedding cards for me are the hardest card to make and I was stumped - I knew I wanted to use this image that I had already colored but then came the challenge for me to make this into a wedding card - oh well, she is what she is. I hope you let me know what you think of her:

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:
  • www.coredionations foundations was cut to 5.5 x 11 inches for my card
  • background is from Recollections Fashionably Chic
  • the frame was cut using a white textured paper from my stash door with Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge with the background being DCWV Happily Ever After. The hearts that were cut from the frame were glued to the right side with Mini Rhinestones separating each heart
  • Wild Flower Beauty was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils and gel pen accents and fussy cut around the edges that her hair is hanging out of the frame - kinda spooky but I liked the effect
  • center of the flowers are the same mini rhinestones between each of the hearts
  • sentiment, "A True Lady is only helpless while her nail polish is wet", had previously been a freebie from Create with TLC which was chalked around the edges and mounted on a scrap from the front of my card - I thought this sentiment was purrrfect for my card especially after the wedding concept had been scrapped - I need to try and create a wedding card eventually and get the proper mojo!!!
