If you have arrived just to visit me today, I wouldn't want you to miss a single stop along the way and would love for you to start with Janet  (http://ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/) as you won't want to miss a single occasion!!!

For my project today, I have chosen two (2) special events. My first event is Kite Flying Day which was held on February 8th. I know when I had my Girl Scout Troop, this was a big deal for not only me but my troop as we would soak dial rods overnight sew that they would be flexible and then the following day, we would use nylon ripcord and stretch it onto the dial rods and make these most wonderful kites using my scrap fabrics (oh yeah, scrap fabric mulitiples like scrap paper) for the tails on our kites!!!! Who hasn't said to someone "to go fly a kite?"

I just got the Cricut cartridge Sesame Street Seasons and there is not only Elmo and Zoe flying kites on this cartridge. Now, who wouldn't want to go fly a kite with Elmo --- you gotta love this background paper as it is from Mini Kids 6x6 Slab and the balance of papers used were from my scrap bin!

My second event is National Margarita Day which is held on February 22nd. What's not to like about a margarita --- I remember when Jen turned 21 being the responsible parent that I am and how my dad taught me when I had turned 21 - you take your child out for their first alcoholic drink!!! Ok, maybe first legal drink. Continuing with that train of thought --- I took Jen to ChiChi's and her and I dined on Margarita's .... wonderful memories!!! Then there is Jimmy Buffet singing about Margaritaville and let's not forget about Alan Jackson -- It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere.

I found this svg file and used my Make the Cut to cut out my lime margarita (YUM but should have made either mango or peach, but perhaps another day) along with making a shadow. You gotta love this background paper as it is from Mini Kids 6x6 Slab and the balance of papers used were from my scrap bin!

YUM!!!!!! By the way, there were no limes that were wasted!!!

Your next stop along the way with the Calendar girls is Kari as we celebrate Valentine's Day with her special card.

The line-up for February includes in case you get lost along the way:

Stop by and check out these holidays as I am sure you are going to want to remember these holidays and include them in your card making projects!!!!!

We will have blog candy to the lucky recipient that remarks on each site along the way of some K&Co. Stickers!

Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on March 10th for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!

God Bless you for stopping by

  5. Awwwwe... Elmo is so adorable. Makes me want to get up and go out and fly a kite myself. However, it must warm up first. :-)

Now, if your margarita was of the strawberry variety, I would have been all over it. Yummmo!

Thanks for asking me to be part of your Calendar Girls.
