June is Busting Out With Flowers Blog Hop

Flowers are in bloom as the warm summer air dances lightly across the yards and fields and this blog hop is all about the flowers. Please join this creative bunch as they show off their creations with flowers. Jearise, from Lorby's World, is our hostess.  Please, make sure you begin at her site and read carefully because she will have a give-away going on with this hop and all the details are on her blog. Now flower power away . . .

WHAT????? Has someone lost their mind??? Lynne is in a flower blog hop????? You have to be kidding!!!! Lynne who one year planted silk flowers in her window boxes and only watered to keep them clean!!!! Lynne who is Dr. Keforkian when it comes to growing flowers!!!!! Alright, now that I have that out of my system . . . .

I actually have not one but two projects for you!!! Yes, I did say two!!!

My first project is something that can be made in a total of 15 minutes and makes a great little something to take to a friend in the hospital as a cheer-me-up bouquet or a thinking of you!!!

RECIPE:
  • Supply list: suckers, Styrofoam egg or ball, paper, empty juice container or flower pot
  • Cover juice container with paper, add pretty bow with sentiment, “Wishing you a Sunshiney day”, from Create with TLC with added Darice 3D effect butterfly stickers

  • Cut flowers with hole in center – I used Cricut Plantin Cartridge on page 76 cut at 2.75 inches and used 10 flowers
  • Optional chalking around edges

  • Shape flowers by curling petals

  • Insert suckers in flowers, insert in Styrofoam

  • Butterfly Stick-Pin made previously using supplies from Miriam's Crafting Supplies (tutorial on how to make previously shown May 17th, Tutorial Friday for Miriam's Crafting Supplies, Decorative Butterfly Stick-Pin)

  • Viola and happy flower bouquet
My next project is a frame using flowers from Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge. DANGER WILL ROBINSON, cartridge directions SUCK!! Now, that I got that out of my system . . . .

RECIPE:
  • Poppy cut using Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge cut at 3.25 and 2.5 inches using Recollections cardstock and chalked around edges

  • Pansy cut using Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge cut at 2.25 inches using Recollections cardstock and chalked around edges with a black and gold button for the center

  • Leaves cut in various sizes using Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge and chalked around edges
  • Violets were cut using Cricut Plantin Cartridge cut at 2.25 inches using Recollections cardstock and chalked around edges with pearls from Miriam’s Crafting Supplies in the center
  • Wooden frame is from Michael’s which cost a whole dollar – covered with Recollections Fashionable Chic Paper Stack and chalked around edges
  • Flowers were hot-glued onto frame
  • Sentiment, “When hands reach out in friendship hearts are touched with joy”, from Create with TLC with rounded corners matted on matching paper that covered wooden frame

  • VIOLA, lovely gift for a dear friend . . . shhhhhh don’t tell her!

Have I amazed and astounded you making my flowery projects??? I want to thank you for stopping to smell the flowers and down the path to Anita but just watch out for the bees while sniffing the flowers. The line-up is included just in case you get lost along the way . . . .
