offering a breast cancer awareness bracelet to one lucky winner.

October is Breast cancer awareness means a lot to me . . . several years ago, I was diagnosed with Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia and need to have mammograms twice a year as it affects the milk ducts of my breast. My card is a repeat as it is a card which I love how it turned out and hope you agree . . . make a card to bring breast cancer awareness and mail to a friend . . . .

Recipe:
  • Fidget's Hope designed by Heather Valentin which I colored using my Prisma Spectrum Noir Markers, glitzed with glitter and accented with gel pens
  • stick pin made using a breast cancer awareness ribbon, stick pin and beads from scrap bin
  • ribbon Darice organza tied in a bow
  • sentiment from Create with TLC

For my next card is for October 6th for Mad Hatter Day . . . NOW, if you know me you know how I love love love Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter is my favorite!!!!

RECIPE:
  • card was cut using A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge on page 57 cut as a 5-inch card using Recollections Animal Printed
  • digi is Create with TLC Mad Hatter Twinkle Twinkle . . . NOW, I do need to let you know that Create with TLC offers freebies on a daily basis and all she asks for is a comment . . . this had been a "freebie" but it had retired early as there were 63 downloads BUT no comment . . . I'm hoping that you would give a comment as there is no charge and to continue offering these at no charge, offering a comment is just courtesy . . . ok, I'm off my soapbox for NOW!!!
  • stick pin was made using beads, feather from my stash as I always considered the Mad Hatter rather flamboyant!!!!
  • digi was colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers, Prisma colored pencils, accented with gel pens
  • copper toned table-setting charm is tied with bakery twine

October 14th is Columbus Day . . . now, with Lily going to a pre-school, they celebrate the holidaze. With that being said, I thought I would make Lily a card and send it to her as she loves cards and keeps them in a little pursse that grandma has made her . . . this will be going to Lily to take to school for Columbus Day . . . .

RECIPE:
  • card was cut 4.25 x 11 inches and folded in half using Darice Patterned Kraft Cardstock
  • lace on front was cut using Martha Stewart Eyelet border punch and edged with a blue ribbon
  • front ship was cut using Designer Calendar Cricut Cartridge cut at 3-inches with Columbus Day cut at 2.25 inches both of which are on page 47
  • inside ship is from Create with TLC - Fairy Tale Ship

My final day I chose is Frankenstein Friday which is October 25th. I know Jearise is also doing this date but Create with TLC had a Halloween Frankenstein Collage which I just had to and wanted to use . . . sew, shhhhhh don't tell Jearise please . . . .

RECIPE:
  • card was cut 4.25 x 11 inches using black Recollection and then folded in half
  • Create with TLC Halloween Frankenstein Collage which was chalked
  • background paper is from Tsunami Rose Halloween 2012
  • ribbon on the right side and tied into a bow is Darice Halloween Fun
