Its All About the 70's Blog Hop

We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature anything and everything related to the 70's!! So pull out your bell-bottoms and peace signs, and join us for the FUN...You'll  find an array of ideas throughout this hop -- From decorations to gift ideas and more, we hope you'll enjoy each and every GROOVY project along the  way!!  This is a TWO-DAY hop, so be sure to check it all out (besides, we have a FAR OUT prize for a random someone who visits and comments on each stop for each day!!)...

We can guarantee some psychedelic excitement for this event... So let's get hopping!! If you've hopped over from Misty, then  you are in the right place!! If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our FUN, then please start at  the beginning with Lynda's blog.

For the hop today, I've decided to work on my project that Kari has incorporated this year, 52 Weeks of Me, which I should be working on each week!!! I'm sew far behind, but see, Kari, I have done something!!!<LOL>

My All About Me Book will measure 8 x 8 inches and will try to continue working on it this year to give to my daughter Jenny for Christmas this year for her and Lily to get to know more about me because our children know some things of their heritage but not the little stories that went along with them

The 70's were a time of burning the flag, burning your bra, peace rallies, love-ins, Laugh-in, the Viet Nam War, bell bottoms, tie-die, the paper dress, Twiggy, the Beatles, Motown, and a time of unrest!!!! I graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1970 but did not burn the flag, burn my bra, or protests!!! I was this quiet little nerd that kept to myself!!!!! Now, that you're rolling on the floor laughing, I have to tell you its true!!!! Quiet, not outspoken, good little girl with no few friends that wrote poetry. Also, for a bit of trivia, actually, I wrote to guys in Viet Nam on real paper, involving the post office to mail, and was a pen-pal to several -- one of which became my first husband, and my daughter, Jennifer's, father!!

Using Groovy Times along with the different sayings that were popular in the 70's and posted them on "groovy" paper. Far-out man!! Psychedelic!

I'm still looking for pictures to add here and want to do some more journaling along with adding a poem or two. But now, for some good giggles --- here's my graduation picture!!!!!! <OK, no spitting on the monitor screen!>

Pictures were taken in black and white and then colorized .... oh, the hi-tech world of color back then!!

Thank you again for checking out my project today and reliving the 70's! Your next stop along the way is Lori or just follow the links below and remember to visit all the stops for MAXIMUM ideas and LOTS OF FUN!! Can ya dig it???

God Bless my bloggie friends!
Hugs and Love,
Lynne
