We have a super sponsor this month - The Stamping Chef, http://thestampingchef.oo.gd/index.php?route=common/home, who has graciously offered 3 digis of the lucky winners choice who comment on the Design Team Blog at http://thestampingchef.wordpress.com/ and
become a follower.

Also, I am offering some blog candy to a lucky winner that comments as to walking in the rain or the tooth fairy of either the Treasure Tots (Bonnie) or one of the Tooth Fairies!!!!!!!

I chose two occasions this month and of course, I'm doing lay-outs this month instead of my usual cards along with using Treasure Box Designs paper piecings.

February 10th is Umbrella Day - I love to walk in the rain ..... ok, let me clarify that and say I like a nice soft summer rain to take a walk in or sit outside and blow bubbles. Let, the truth be known, I'm strange and weird!!! With that being said, I am using one of Treasure Box Designs newest paper-piecing which also include a digital to color is Treasure Tots (Bonnie). Isn't she adorable with her cute little rain slicker, hat, and boots?? This is a one-page lay-out.

RECIPE:
  • Treasure Tots (Bonnie)
  • Recollections Galoshes for my background
  • Glossy Accents to color on top of my Yellow Recollections card stock to make her rain slicker, hat, and boots look like vinyl
  • April Showers Cricut Cartridge for umbrella, quote (April Showers), and rain boot
  • Pearls on galoshes are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies where you can find a super collection at a reasonable cost!!!!!
  • flower on rain hat is Recollection Floral Embellishment
  • black midi braid outlining the spokes on my umbrella
  • ribbon, paper used for paper-piecing from my stash
  • edges chalked using Inka-Dinka-Do Blending Chalks
February 28th is National Tooth Fairy Day. I remember when I was young, I imagined the tooth fairy wore necklaces made with all the teeth she collected from under pillows (geesh, my mind was warped even then!). Then, when Jenny, my daughter, would lose her teeth for some strange reason, I kept them and put them in her baby book. Ok, I was still warped and demented!!! Now, I just scrapbook the pages.  For this lay-out, I have used Treasure Box Designs Tooth Fairy

RECIPE:
  • Treasure Box Designs Tooth Fairy
  • background paper is DCWV The Blossom Song Stack which the bottom piece was cut at 4.5-inches and then topped with a piece of flat lace -- my reasoning regarding this is the peeking Tooth Fairy is resting on a pillow and I wanted it to look like a pretty sheet on her bed with a lace border .... yeah, I know, I'm warped again!!!!
  • bow paper for the pillow is from a Recollection stack which I can't recall the name of it but it had a pink paisley print, an orange print, cupcake print and this print
  • my wild imagination came up with the striped toothpaste, the name of the toothpaste along with the name on the dental floss . . . there is dental floss wrapped around the letter e on the first page and the tooth and on the second page coming from the dental floss container and around a tooth
  • pearls are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies
  • chorus line of dancing teeth was done through Make The Cut using the tooth on the standing tooth fairy and welding them together
  • paper piecing is from scraps along with the flat lace (you just gotta love scrap collections!!!)
  • all edges were inked with Inkadinkadoo chalks
