Boys and Their Toys Blog Hop

No matter what the age, boys have always had their toys. The older the boys get the more expensive the toys to say the least!!!!

My brothers when they were younger always had their trucks, Matchboxes, Hot Wheels not to mention the construction sets. Now, that they are older, my one brother has his trains and his antique car that he is his pride and joy!!!!!

We are about to discover what toys are boys have and had with this hop and hope you sit back and enjoy our stories.

We have a great sponsor for this hop. Nikki, from Paper Piecings by Nikki has graciously donated one file for this hop. The file Nikki is giving is titled, Boys and their Toys.

For my project today, I have used Treasure Box Designs, Racing My Wheels file. I only have one page totally complete with the other page still a vision in my mind - sew, please bear with me!! Just visualize the ribbons, and two (2) more cars along with the boy on the mat ... I know you can see it as clearly as I can!!!! See, the lime-green car and the turquoise car... beautiful color choices, don't you think???

Ok, I know I told you we would have to use our imagination page 2 of my lay-out but with having issues with sleeping and Zig and puff dots in hand - VIOLA:

how did you like my little puffs of smoke; as my brothers would say when racing "eat my dust!!

We have a very talented group of ladies to share with you not only their projects but stories and the entire line-up is listed below!!!

Hope, you enjoyed my project while I send you on your way but please avoid the traffic to your next stop, Kimberly.

God Bless and thank you for stopping by

  1. I must be the first to comment on your project for two reasons: first, I love it and it's perfect for this hop and second, I am sorry for screwing up and not being in this hop like I said I would be. I wrote it on my hop calendar as the 16 and not the 6th. I want all the world to know that I screw up and I am very very sorry.

  2. So cute. I wish my boys had a racing set for the matchbox cars! That would be fun. Great misdirection ;)

  3. Love your layout - I remember these when my son was little. We had all different types of track setups for him to play with. I remember when my brothers were little they had simple tracks that they secured to the dining room chairs and raced down a straight track. Oh the memories of it all.

Love this hop, thanks for being a part of it!!!

  4. This is a wonderful project for kids. It is natural for the kids to do different kinds of crafts. This is looks fun because it also has stories to tell.
