Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? If you're a Tim Burton fan, you will recognize that line from "This is Halloween" -- a well-known song from the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas". With Halloween just around the corner, this is the perfect time to celebrate all things Tim Burton! We have a talented group of ladies on this weekend blog hop. Join us as we each share a project inspired by one of Tim's quirky characters!
If you've just come from Tami's blog, you are right where you should be ! If you haven't but would like to start from the beginning, go to Dena's blog : http://missdjones.blogspot.com/. We would like to thank Karber Digital Images for sponsoring this blog hop. Karber is giving away two digital stamps to one lucky person who comments during the blog hop.
*** To be eligible to win, you must comment on each blog in the hop.
*** You must become a follower of each blog.
*** The winner will be announced no later than Wednesday, October 26th.
Now, on to the project I would like to share with you for Day Two:
Jearise, I must thank you because I forgot all about Tim Burton's Sleeping Hollow with the headless horseman and thus you inspired me!!!
The card I did for you today is showing my warped sense of humor. I used of course A Child's Year Cricut cartridge to cut my card at 6.75 inches in 2 colors and cutting the second one in half. I cut the lettering on the outside at .75 inches using Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge in black scrap paper. The house and remainder of the pieces were all cut using Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge. The front house was cut at 5.50 -inches in a dark purple.
The inside house was cut at 4.75 inches with the background paper was embossed with the Skull Cuttlebug folder. The headless horseman was cut at 4.25 inches. The headless horseman is cut in layers (first dark green (grass), then purple (cape), then black (headless horseman and horse), orange is the pumpkin. The stamp on the inside on the left is Martha Stewart with her lime green ink says beware with ooze dripping!
Now for my warped sense of humor - the front says "enter if you dare"; "beware" "I left my head somewhere".
