Welcome to I Double Dog Dare You's Second Challenge -- to do a book or lay-out that would and could be a first reader depicting nursery rhymes, See Dick - See Jane - See Spot, or any of your favorite Golden Books. And they were up to the challenge???? They were Double Dog Dared to do where few could meet the next frontier and challenge!!! I can't wait to see all of the imagination soar and rise to the reading occassion!!!
There is a super talented group of ladies that have arisen to this dare and the complete line-up is listed below just in case you get lost along the way. Hate to see you get lost with your reading progress and wouldn't want you to miss a single first reader:

Kimberly Pate - http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com
Anita Cannon http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com

For my project, I have chosen to do Dr. Seuss. They are such fun and easy first readers with the rhymes he has and the colorful illustrations. I have chosen to do a 2-page lay-out and hope you enjoy!!! My first page is dedicated to “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish with Dr. Suess’ logo sew to speak, the hat that the Cat in the Hat Wears. Page 2 is dedicated to the Cat in the Hat. Look at the terrible mischief they’ve gotten into not to mention that Thing 1 and Thing 2 have come to play. Poor Goldie is hanging on for dear life!!!!
- Back ground paper is from DCWV The Mrs Claus’ Kitchen Stack
- The paper used for the photo mats is from a DCWV stack which I can’t remember the name
- Dr. Suess One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and the hat are a Mardenz file
- Ribbon used was from a wonderful “care” package from a dear friend, Rachelle Larsen
- Cat in the Hat, Things One and Thing Two along with Goldie are a paper piecing file from Treasure Box Designs called Cat and Friends, http://www.treasureboxdesigns.com/category_12/6/Whats-New.htm.
- Google eyes on Goldie
- Puff Dotted all my characters along with inking the edges
Now, that you have progressed to the next reader, I must send you on your way to <insert blog following you here>
If you happen to read and graduate all the first readers by leaving comments on each of the stops along the way AND mentioning what your favorite first reader book is - you will be eligible for a surprise package which SHHHHHH no one knows but the teacher!!!!!!
God Bless and thank you for stopping by
